The fire element of feng shui are represented by things such as candles, an outdoor firepit, or an indoor fireplace. The dominating colors of this element would be orange, red, and dark yellow. When trying to feng shui your living space with this element in mind, you want to make sure that you avoid using it near things that are based on the water element as these two are competing forces and does not complement each other well. On the other hand a good element to go with fire would either be the earth based element or the wood element.

As you might have already guessed, this element is dominated by nature’s plants and so the primary things that represent this element would be trees, flowers, bushes, and shrubs. This element is dominated by the color brown. The best compliment to this element would be the water element while anything that is based on the metal element should not be displayed next to the wood element.

The water element is the perfect element to be used with the wood element or metal element. Shades of blue are the main colors of this element and things such as indoor aquariums or water features and outdoor ponds and fountains are some of the things that represents the water element in feng shui. By all means, you should never place any water feature next to a fire element based feature as this causes things to look very strange and does not a promote a sense of tranquility.

The last type of feng shui element that we will be discussing will be the metal element. Colors of silver, gray, white, and even shades of black comes to dominate this element. Things such as metal chimes, outdoor furniture, and metal vases are some of the things that represents the metal element. When decorating your living space with this element. A complimentary element that goes along with the metal element would be the earth element.
