The feng shui colors that we use in our living spaces and business environments can help set the mood or tone of
the area and as such, if you want to great a harmonious flow of energy, then you should try to select colors that
compliment one of another based on their feng shui elements. In general, when decorating a room, we want to select
feng shui colors that don’t compete with one another in based on their elemental values. So what this typically
means is that you should select colors that corresponds to one or two elemental values as this can really bring a
room together makes things look very uniform.
The five basic feng shui elements consists of wood, fire, earth, metal, and water. Each one of these feng shui
element has their very own colors that they are represented by. In general, wood is represented by brown and green.
Fire is represented by red. Earth is represented by yellow. Metal element is represented by silver, gray, white,
and shades of black. And finally water is represented by the various shades of blue.

Typically, some of the more common colors that you’ll see will be green, red, yellow, brown, white, blue, and
black. Let’s go over each one of these colors to see what they each represents according to feng shui.
The color black is less common and is only good when used to create a contrast with the other colors. Black is
thought to promote business oriented thinking in people.
The color green is something that gives a natural nature’s allure and helps encourages positive thinking and
creativity.
The color red is attributed to aggressive design and fast pace environment.
The color brown is associated with the feeling of calmness and relaxation.
The color yellow is associated with the daily communications that occurs between two people, a group of people,
or an organization to organization.
The color white in feng shui is thought to signify pure thought and organization.
The color blue is representative of philosophical thinking and also encourages calm and relaxation like the
color brown does.
