Caring For Your Braided Feng Shui Money Tree

The braided money tree is a highly popular plant for people who are feng shui conscious about their living space and homeowners who apply the practices of feng shui will always have at least one of these laying around somewhere in their house. So what exactly are these money trees? Well term money tree is a sort of generic terminology that is used to identify mainly two different types of plant. One of which is the jade plant and the other is the braided money tree. The jade plant is often called a money tree because the leaves on it are thick, succulent, and take the shapes of monetary coins. The braided money tree is generally considered as the money tree when people are talking about feng shui money tree.

The braided money tree is a plant whose trunk consists of about 4-7 interwoven stalks. At the top of the trees are long and lush green leaves and each trunk stalk grows about 5 leaves, but on rare occasions, some trees are observed to grow more than this and is considered as an extremely lucky feng shui plant.

These plants are usually sold when they are very small (about 6 inches in height) but they can grow extremely tall over years and when that happens you should be very proud that you have kept one alive for so long.

These plants don’t want their soil to be constantly moist all the time, so you should only water when the soil feels dry. A good thing to look for when trying to see if you’re giving the money tree too much or not enough water is how the leaves on the plants are. If the leaves are brittle and cracks and breaks easily, then this indicates that it needs more water. If the leaves are curling up then it indicates that you are over watering it.

The feng shui money tree needs good sunlight throughout the day, so make sure that you place it in an area that receives good direct sunlight throughout the day. On very hot and sunny days, you might want to move your plant away from direct sunlight, as it could be too much heat for it make your plant wilt.

If cared for properly, these plants can really promote good feng shui for your home and bring you good wealth and fortune.
